About This Place

Nestled along Jacksboro Highway in Fort Worth, Lieu's stands out as a genuine gem for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Specializing in both traditional Vietnamese and wider Asian flavors, this cozy spot doubles as a café and coffee haven, making it a delightful destination for any time of day.

The heart of Lieu's menu is undeniably its pho, with a range of rich, aromatic broths that have won over locals and newcomers alike. Whether it's the Large Pho DAC Biet — a masterful combination of perfectly cooked noodles and tender beef slices — or the hearty Beef Meatball Pho and Seafood Pho options, every bowl bursts with intensely satisfying flavors. Customers rave about the broth's depth, describing it as so robust it could "wake up a cadaver," a true testament to the care and quality infused into every simmering pot.

Beyond pho, Lieu’s offers an enticing variety of dishes that showcase the vibrant taste palette of Vietnam. The Vegetable Spring Rolls deliver a crisp, fresh contrast, especially when dipped in the crave-worthy peanut sauce that Stefanie Hernandez swears by, while the Egg Rolls carry a warm, savory richness that complements the meal perfectly. For those who appreciate a heartier bite, the Broken Rice with Grilled Pork is heralded as one of the best in the Dallas-Fort Worth area — a dish that melds fragrant rice with succulent pork, bringing every bite to life.

The menu extends to comfort-filled porridge selections like the Chao Tom shrimp porridge and the flavorful Chao Tahp Cam combination, as well as distinctive noodle soups such as Hu Tieu Nam Vang and Mi Bo Kho beef stew with egg noodles. Each dish is an exploration of layers—a harmony of textures and bold, nuanced flavors that invite you to savor slowly.

Lieu’s ambiance may come across as understated, even a little unassuming at first glance, but it carries a warm, homey vibe that makes each visit feel like dining at a close friend’s house. The attentive and friendly staff, including the ever-welcoming Ruby and Kat, add a layer of comfort and consistency that patrons like Chaung Pha appreciate week after week. This is a place where genuine hospitality meets culinary passion.

And for those who treasure an authentic coffee experience, Lieu’s doesn’t disappoint. From classic Iced Coffee with Condensed Milk to unique offerings like Milk Tea Shake and Honeydew Boba, the café side of the restaurant provides refreshing, vibrant drinks that perfectly complement the rich flavors of their food.

Whether you’re drawn by the promise of soulful pho, the allure of crispy spring rolls, or simply seeking a quiet, unpretentious spot to enjoy robust Vietnamese coffee, Lieu’s delivers on all fronts. It’s a culinary sanctuary for anyone yearning for bold flavors, hearty portions, and a truly sincere dining experience.

This restaurant is amazing. Their pho is so MEAN it can really wake up a cadaver. It's so rich and good that it can make anyone happy. They do not skimp on the noodles nor the beef options. The egg rolls and spring rolls are also so tasty. In addition, the fried rice is simply divine. The service is great and you can tell the owners really care about the quality of food they provide. I totally recommend this place for a nice healthy meal that will leave you deeply satisfied.

We’ve been passing this place for over 7yrs I don’t know what compelled us to try it, but omg why didn’t we try it sooner!!! The pho is to dye for, we also had the shrimp spring rolls and the peanut sauce they have for the rolls is soooo good!!! The service was friendly and very homey 10/10 recommend!

My go-to spot for delicious pho. The broth is rich and flavorful, with just the right balance of depth and spice. The noodles are perfectly cooked, soft but still have that satisfying bite, and the meat is always tender and tasty. The herb and garnish plate is fresh and aromatic. I visit weekly, and the quality is consistently great, week after week. The waitresses, Ruby and Kat, are always welcoming with their smiles and check in regularly to make sure everything is perfect and that I have everything I need. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy, just how I like it when I'm enjoying a bowl of pho. If you're looking for a comforting meal, be sure to give Lieu’s a try!

I literally had such a wonderful experience there, ambience, atmosphere, my waitress was sweet as well. I apologize for not catching her name but 10/10 will be going back and trying their coffee. Just a chill restaurant on the side of the road, especially if you love pho or have nothing better to do!!

The atmosphere is pretty dated- and at first glance almost dingy, as a matter of fact it's hard to tell if they are even open. HOWEVER, they have the most authentic Vietnamese food I've found here in the DFW area (try the broken rice . It's one of my favorites!) The wait staff is always friendly and helpful and the food doesn't take long even when they're busy.
